The State Mileage reporting allows you to track the distance traveled and fuel consumed within individual North American regions. It provides the ability to see all region crossings and aggregated data within each region, providing transparency on your fleets workload across regions and assisting you in completing IFTA reports if required.
In order to provide accurate and detailed information, the State Mileage Reports prioritize the odometer value from the vehicle’s ECU. If the asset does not provide the ECU odometer, the GPS derived odometer value can be used for mileage tracking.
Region Definition
Regions are defined as US States, Canada Provinces, and Mexico States. Travel outside of these areas will display the region as Unknown.
Region Crossing Report
The Region Crossings Report will display each time an asset transitions between a region with the Time of Crossing, Odometer, Fuel, From Region, To Region, and Location for the selected date range. In order to record a region crossing, the event at the time of the crossing must have a valid Asset – Odometer value.
Region Distance Driven Report
The Region Distance Driven Report will display a daily region by region breakdown of distance traveled and fuel consumption with the VIN, Region, Distance Driven, Fuel Consumed, and Fuel Type for each day in the selected date range. The Fuel Type is populated from the Asset – Fuel Type Setting.
Aggregate by Region Export
Exports the distance driven and fuel consumed data grouped by region for the selected date range.
Aggregate by Asset Export
Exports the distance driven and fuel consumed data grouped by asset and region for the selected date range.
Report Filtering
As the State Mileage reports will provide data for all assets with an odometer value (vehicle’s ECU or GPS derived), tags or groups can be used to create asset buckets to separate your IFTA reported assets from your non-IFTA assets.
