To complete a hard reset of your Gx6 device, you will need:
- Access to your GX6 Tracker
- A SIM ejector tool or small pin
Reset Instructions
- Locate your GX6 Device
- Find the small reset hole on the long side of the device. Refer to the image below to confirm the correct location:
- Press and Hold the Reset Button – Insert the SIM ejector tool or pin into the hole and gently press and hold the white button inside for 3–5 seconds. While holding, all LEDs on the device should turn off.
- Release the Button – Once released, all LEDs will flash once, indicating the device is rebooting.
- Confirm Reset – The device will begin its startup sequence.

After the Reset: Once the hard reset is complete, the Gx6 will reconnect to the network. You should see the device come online on the Rand Platform shortly thereafter.
